What should I bring to my appointment?

  • Any questions or concerns you have regarding your injury, health, or movement

  • Loose fitting clothes that you are comfortable moving in

Do I need a prescription or referral?

No.  Physical Therapists are an autonomous profession and do not require a prescription for treatment.

If you have pain or any concerns about your health/movement/body you can book an appointment with us directly without having going through the inefficient and expensive traditional medial system.

Do we take insurance?

We do not deal directly with your insurance company.  However, we provide an itemized receipt that you will be able to submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefits.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

  • Conversation

    • An open discussion on what is going on, why, and the possible factors preventing optimal pain free movement

  • Movement

    • A thorough movement assessment that will look at how the body moves as a whole as well as the detailed parts relating to the injury.

  • Treatment

    • Specific interventions (manual therapy, dry needling, exercises, etc.) to decrease pain, aide in recovery, and optimize movement

  • Education

    • Explanations on how the findings of the examination relate to the current situation and the likely scenarios to resolve the injury.

Where are we located?

We can are currently practicing in Asheville, NC.

If you do not live in the area we are able to perform telehealth consultations.

Why don’t you take insurance?

Unfortunately, traditional insurance models prevent us from treating patients in the most efficient manner.

The low reimbursement rates coupled with increased regulations and paperwork significantly reduce the amount of time available to spend with patients.

Many companies are making up for this by seeing more patients and providing brief, inattentive, generic care. They become factories worrying only about their productivity and profits, not the patient.

As an independent practice we are able to spend an hour of one-on-one time to provide the best care.  This increase in attention, manual therapy, and quality of care leads to quicker recoveries.
